It is in the middle of our neighborhood. As you have probably seen on national television, it is the epicenter (“ground zero”) of the Covid-19 pandemic in Queens and perhaps New York City. As we prayed for how our church could help, we felt burdened for the medical workers at Elmhurst Hospital. Their lack of supplies, long hours, and daily witness of coronavirus deaths broke our hearts. We want to love on these healthcare workers by providing regular hot meals and “on the go” snacks. Medical masks are currently the most requested item from our medical professionals. We have a few ladies that are working on sewing medical masks for distribution but we need more people to help. If you or someone you know can sew, please email Erin Bishop. We can order the sewing supplies if needed and have them sent to your home.
